Toxicity Burdened Body

Is your body burdened with toxic substances? If you have never considered this subject before, consider being fore-warned by this 2 part video by Professor McKay Jenkins- Discover Toxicity In Your Body.

Health VideosDiscovering Toxicity in Your Body

Professor and author McKay Jenkins continues the discussion of what led to his most recent book, “What’s Gotten Into Us: Staying Healthy in a Toxic World.” McKay talks about some of the dangerous things he discovered in his own home. Things most of us have in our homes as well.

Health VideosDiscovering Toxicity in Your Body, Part 2

I never like to leave my readers without hopeful solutions, so here are a few (ever so) abbreviated possible solutions you can do right away to a healthy living in our toxic world:

Clean Your Indoor Air Quality – Get rid of the high vapor pressure Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) from many of the household cleaning products and many other indoor pollutants, we love this product called the Boomerang Air Sanitizer. It is in our business and home. This amazing unit kills airborne microbes and neutralizes pollen and particulates, making the air you breathe cleaner and less harmful. It also helps neutralize indoor odors of all types. And it costs very little to operate (15 watts at peak operation)!

The Boomerang’s effectiveness is due in part to a patent-pending Silver+ Photo Catalytic Oxidation (PCO) cell. The cell contains nano-sized metal catalysts—silver and others to react with photons from ultraviolet (UV) light to create millions of redundant oxidizers, including super oxide ions, hydroxyl ions, hydro peroxide ions and ozonide ions. All of these have been demonstrated to kill or neutralize airborne organisms. The unit sanitizes 2,000 square feet of open living space, and it requires no cleaning or filter replacement. There’s no maintenance for up to three years! The Boomerang is also lightweight and energy-efficient and features quiet operation. Made in the U.S., using only the highest quality parts. Read more…

Purify Your Drinking Water – If you are drinking municipal water, there is no doubt that you need to get a water purifier. However, regular filters (household or at your faucet only) are mostly inadequate. You need a filtering system that will not only remove all of the microbes but also all the chemicals that the municipal water will contain to kill these microbes. Particular ones of great interest are chlorine and fluoride. They both among others (such as bromine) are all known endocrine disruptors to our thyroid function.

A good choice would be a distilled or Reverse Osmosis (RO) system that eliminates just about all of the pollutants (microbes and chemicals). However, it has been stated by health expert Dr. Rona, MD, that RO water, much like distilled water, is not the best  form of water you want to drink long term. It is void of any healthy minerals as it removes them all during the RO process. It is also very chemically reactive. Meaning that it aggressively absorbs air, plastic bottle, and metal substances it gets in contact with. Carbon dioxide absorption from the air has been verified in labs. Making the RO or distilled waters acidic. Although drinking distilled or RO water is recommended for short term detox purposes, they are not recommended for long term use. An ideal water purification system would be one that is void of all the contaminants with healthy amount of minerals that has the alkaline pH, antioxidant and micro-clustered properties. In case you are wondering if such a system exists, yes it does. Click this link to find out more.

Do thorough cleanses regularly and frequently – Colon and liver detox programs are highly recommended at least once every 6 months. We do them approximately every quarter. Blood purifying and heavy metal pulling herbs should be also a part of your cleansing program. For further details on cleansing, please refer to the Digestive and Intestinal Health Series of blogs I wrote on this website.
